Biggles Goes to the Beach

"okay if you say so," Algy said with a shrug. Strangely this was not the oddest thing Biggles had asked of him and he had long ago stopped being surprised.

Lying supine with his head on the pillow, securely handcuffed to the blonde, Algy began to consider what was the strangest request Biggles had asked of him.

[Fairblue]

"Algy. Get up, you oaf. We're going to take him to Marcel."

[Kismet]

Waking, confused for a moment from a dream of decapods, Algy struggled to his feet, re-discovering that he was handcuffed to the blonde on his way up.

He had slept for what remained of the night, and an early sun was blazing through the curtains.

[Fairblue]

Only it wasn't the blonde he was handcuffed to. It was Biggles.

[Kismet]

'I don't think his escape matters,' yawned Biggles. 'We just needed to keep him incommunicado for a few hours so Marcel and Raymond could arrest the drug smugglers without him warning them. It was nearly dawn before I slept so I think we held him long enough. Let's call Raymond and Marcel to check everything went off OK, then we can use one of his hairpins to undo these cufflinks.'

[Fairblue]

"Let's get the handcuffs off first." Algy said, picking up a hairpin.

[Kismet]

The blonde had fastened their right hands together, forcing them to use the hairpin with their left hands. Getting the cuffs off began to look problematic.

[Fairblue]

Until the cleaner knocked and walked in.

[Kismet]

Luckily she had been part of the Resistance during the war, and was quite familiar with the disengagement of two people, who were attached, intentionally or not, by handcuffs.

[Fairblue]

They gave her a hefty tip and set off to contact Marcel and Raymond.

[Kismet]

Neither of whom were answering their phones or had left any contact details. Bertie and Ginger were also unobtainable. Biggles began to worry.

He honed Joudrier who explained that Marcel and Ginger were....."

[Kismet]

Having a working breakfast by the Seine after the successful apprehension of the French side of the drug smuggling ring.

[Fairblue]

Next, he contacted Raymond to see how the British Side was faring.

[Kismet]

'All wrapped up,' Raymond informed him with satisfaction. 'We collected a number of people we've been interested in for a while. Lissie's gone to give the gen to Gaskin'.

"Well, that's that," Biggles said, hanging up the phone with satisfaction. "Let's go home."

[Fairblue]

They arrived back in their office to a mountain of paperwork. Amongst the pile of reports from International sources was a request from the Irish Garda. A pair of pink hibiscus-flowered board shorts had been washed up on the east coast of Ireland at Dun Laoghaire, south of Dublin; could the air police help with the search for the missing swimmer?

This was one of my favourites because I enjoyed treating Biggles so badly. It is a pleasure to play the RPGs with you all. You have marvellously vivid imaginations fellow forumites!
