I should be so lucky. Dolores would at least want to go out dancing somewhere.

Not long to go, now: it's nearly Sunday. Is everyone panting at the line and ready for the off?

Just tentatively rejoining the human race after a particularly vicious bout of sun resulted in a rather debilitating case of sunstroke. Hopefully the sun will be less vicious over the next few weeks and I can get something done on this... (Not very likely according to my annoyingly cheerful doctor, who has just informed me that I should probably stay home all summer and only go out at night like some sort of strange vampire--an impossible scenario given that most things in life happen during the day when most people are at work and/or awake  )

I hope you recover fully soon, Soppy.

Oh dear, Soppy. Not again.

A nocturnal existence might be quite exciting. You could only communicate with people after midnight whilst wearing a velvet mask and be an international person of mystery. Or you could learn to conga and call yourself Dolores....

I like the idea of a nocturnal existence.... Thus no doctor has ever suggested it to me. *deep sigh*

I don't like the idea of heatstroke though. Really horrible!!

I wish you a speedy recovery! Perhaps plenty of ice cream applied internally?
There's a difference between a bad man and a good man gone wrong, answered Biggles coldly, as he turned back into the hut.

Oh no, Soppy!

Surely not all summer?! Sounds like the doc isn't considering how practical their advice is! More useful would perhaps be an ice vest, more fun probably sampling all the ice creams and other cool treats from each shop that you pass...for medicinal reasons of course.

I do hope that you are recovering. Even getting better from heatstroke, never mind actual sunstroke, takes time.
Personally, I love the sun, but drinking enough is always difficult ...
For some years towards the end of her life, my sun-loving mother was unable to go outside in bright sun as she had an allergic reaction - coming out in huge, itchy lumps - as a result of some of her heart medications.
