Into the Blue .....

Postby DrBiggles » 05 Jul 2018, 08:01

There is an interesting BBC short news documentary called "INTO THE BLUE" being shown on the BBC News Channel (200) at 9.30 pm on Friday 6th July 2018.
It features various things to do with 100 years of the RAF - including a short (very short) bit about W.E. Johns. In fact, I turn up for around one minute talking
about Johns and the Biggles books. The BBC came up to film me and my collection back in May - we filmed around 20 minutes of footage - 95% of which ended
up on the cutting room floor (which is probably a good thing!). If anybody is free 9.30 pm Friday and has the BBC News Channel, then you might want to give it a go.

Thanks for the heads up, DrB, I will be listening.

Oooh. That's fantastic, DrB :o

I don't have BBC (being overseas), but hopefully some of the others in the UK will be able to watch it.

Thanks from me, that's sounding interesting ...

Perhaps someone can record it ?

I shall be in a quivering heap on the floor - we have a railway carriage delivery that day (expected around lunchtime) and I'll have to have an early night as I'm going into the workshop at stupid o'clock to paint some stuff.

Definitely one for recording, DrB. Thanks for this.

I don't have TV but I am suitably impressed about your input - how marvellous! :claphappy:

Kismet - can you record this and we can all watch it at your house next week?

Ditto & congrats! Pity we don't get BBC programs in Oz...although I do have a VPN add-on for Firefox which allows me to watch some American online videos. Do you have a link, & I might see if this works for BBC on my laptop? :D
They've been working together for so long that each seems to know by a sort of telepathy when another is in trouble. One never seems to get them together. Get one & the others come after him. To give the devil his due they make a formidable team.

Yes, I should be able to!
